We Interrupt this Program

Just before leaving for my afternoon shift yesterday, the news of the murders at an Amish School in Lancaster, PA was announced. This was immediately followed by news that two schools in Nevada were locked down because of a young man with a gun. It was just last week that there were two other murders at schools in Colorado and Wisconsin.

I am at a complete and utter loss as to how to express my sympathy for the families and communities involved.

Maybe it's time to amend the second amendment. I'm not advocating doing away with our right to bear arms but something certainly needs to change.
