We saw the new year in with friends. We spent a couple of hours playing skip-bo with the guys beating us 3 to 1. With my partner tired from working until 8:30 and me a bit tipsy, we never had a chance! We'll get 'em next time.
I don't know what's up with the weather but we're starting the new year off with more above average temperatures and rain. It's 49F right now and we expect 40's & 50's all week. I suspect we'll pay later in the season.
I have all of the ornaments off the tree. I need to make a storage bag to store it in because it doesn't come apart, so I'll get the machine out later. I still have quite a few things to put away but I think I'll leave the snowmen and penguins out for awhile.
Back to work in the morning.

I check every day to see which fabulous background you will have!
ReplyDeleteIt isn't easy because the backgrounds out there are mostly for the myspace pages. The new blogger is CSS and they don't fit. I have better luck with a Photobucket background or Webshots.
Still frustrating, though!!
I got all my decorations put up already. Still left the lights up outside because it's been raining. As soon as that stops I'll get the lights down from outside.
ReplyDeleteI need to figure out how to thread my new sewing machine. Each time I've used a machine, it's been my grandmother's or aunt's so it's already been threaded and ready to go. People tell me to watch my tension and which way I spin the bobbin underneath, and I'm just so afraid I'll mess something up that I haven't done it yet. I've had this new machine for a few months just sitting in the case staring at me to get to work on it. I've even cut out quilting squares and pre-trimmed old mis-matched sheets for window panels. I just need my machine ready to go.
