It's certainly going around! The kids at work have a terrible case of the disease. Flip-flops have been appearing despite the snow. Coats have been stuffed into backpacks or left on the bus. I'm not sure what was going on at the high school Thursday but I had several students sporting tropical prints and one young lady was attired in a grass skirt! The little kids have been loud and a little spacey; unable to sit still. Alex was here Thursday and insisted that he wanted to play outside even though it was cold. He had to settle for playing in the garage because of the mud and lack of his snowsuit. It's gotten cold again which feels like a slap in the face after a taste of warmth!
As you leave my home you see this Irish Blessing. This piece is the first piece I worked on linen and the first I designed myself. It is one of only a few pieces that I kept for myself.
May love and laughter light your days
and warm your heart and home
May good and faithful friends be yours
wherever you may roam
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures
May all life's passing seasons bring
the best to you and yours
Congratulations to Robert Bundtzen! He finished the Iditarod in 14 days, 21 hours and 17 mins.
Help yourself to a mug of Irish Coffee. It will help you keep warm while you watch the parade today!
Irish coffee sounds good about now...it's cold outside...again! We only got about 6" of snow yesterday, but it was enough to have to plow the driveway. More is falling lightly today. It would be too cold at the parade for me!
ReplyDeleteOur kids were just like that on Friday!
Love your blessing. Great job! I just read the same blessing over at Horizon's blog. She created a blogger band. Have you seen it? She's hilarious :)
Happy St. Patricks Day to you Apple! xox
