Tests

The next couple of the weeks are going to be tough. I am not a good test taker and all four of my tests have to be completed by the end of the month, with the two driving tests done by the 19th. The head driver, or the boss or any of the other drivers can ride with me and I'm fine. I can have total strangers ride with me on the Road-eo course filling out my score sheet and I'm not the least bit bothered. Call it a TEST and I get nervous as hell. Not knowing which day my tests will be has my stomach in knots. We're supposed to get snow the next couple of nights just to add to my anxiety - I've never driven my current bus in snow as we haven't had any yet! I know in my head that I am just being silly but I just can't help it.

But that may not matter because I broke my bus this afternoon. It needs a new torque converter - whatever that is. It evidently is not something that breaks often so we don't have a new one in stock and it must be ordered. I'm hoping they get one tomorrow but I'm not betting on it. The spare bus has a manual door. It took seven or eight stops before I stopped reaching for the air door control that isn't there. grrr

My bus is also up for DOT inspection before the end of the month. Luckily I finished what I had to get done for that this morning.

I have safety meetings both tomorrow and Wednesday. I have another dentist appointment next week. And idiot that I am, I thought this would be a good week to try and quit smoking.

No, it may not have been the best of weeks to try and quit smoking. Good luck with that! Good luck with the tests too. You sound quite busy at the moment!

  2. Sounds like quite a week. Those auto doors are quite cool. When I drove a bus they all had manual doors and the silly things were always sticking
