Some days I love my job more than others. Today I got to take a group to Green Lakes State Park for their end of the year trip. Even though the park is less than an hour away (east of Syracuse) I hadn't been there since I was a kid. We actually saw very little of the park and my pictures really didn't capture the beauty of the green water. There were many picnic areas, a camp ground and even a Frisbee golf course.
We had to hike through the woods to get to the lake. The first view of the emerald color was amazing.
With school still in session the beach was all but deserted.
The kids were over for dinner and with the perfect weather wanted to play kickball.
The tent caterpillars are back but in no where near the numbers as last year. The kids get so excited when they catch them.

It's been a long time since I went on a field trip with a class- we went to interesting places, but few were as naturally beautiful as your destination, Apple.
