Harry Potter

John and I did something last week that we haven't done in years. We went to the movies. We actually do occasionally (once or twice a year) go to the second run theater but I decided I didn't want to wait so we headed down to the mall for a matinée. Believe it or not, they were showing Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix at 9:30 am. Apparently that was too early for most people, there were only about 15 others in the theater with us.

I won't spoil it for any of you that are waiting to see it. As always, if you've read the book you'll note all the things that had to be left out for time. I will say that this is not a movie for young children. I'm glad I went but the 1st movie still remains my favorite.

I go back to work very early in the morning. As it turns out I won't be there very long as I have to report for jury duty later in the morning. I guess it's too early to start counting but there's only four weeks to go until my next vacation.

  1. I've never heard of a movie at 9:30 am but I would go to avoid the crowds too. I enjoy a movie much more when the theater isn't jam packed..

  2. Sounds like a great time to go to a movie. I could probably stay awake at that time :)
It's too bad they didn't make it suitable for young children.
Sorry you have to go back to work already. What a bummer. I think you told us what you were going to do, but I can't remember. Driving summer schoolers perhaps? But I think they're almost finished, aren't they?
Are you hoping to be chosen for Jury Duty, or not?
I did Grand Jury duty once and enjoyed it...mostly. It lasted about 3 months.
