A 10 year old boy in Arkansas stole a bus and took police in a three county chase. Go here to see the article and a video.
I have a whole bunch of questions about this.
First, the story says that he and a group of others were caught on tape last month trying to steal a bus. Why wasn't security improved? There are a few things I can do to my bus to keep someone else from starting and/or moving it easily.
Second, how did he get the keys? If he didn't have keys, how did he know how to start it?
Third, what was he doing out, without supervision at 11:00 PM? Especially if he had just gotten in trouble last month!
Fourth, how did he reach the pedals? Either he did all that driving standing up or he is tall for 10!
Fifth, why steal a bus?
Sixth, what is an appropriate punishment for a 10 year old?

I saw this on TV a week ago. It is crazy. I wondered some of the same things especially number 3 and 4.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah and 5, why would anyone want to steal a bus?? I partially get the car joy riding, but bus joy riding...blah.
Hard to believe, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI'd be very interested to know what punishment he gets.
I hadn't heard about this, but wow...very crazy! Each of your questions are ones that I would ask, as well! Only ten years old...you really wonder about his home life, don't you?
ReplyDeleteI hadn't stopped by in awhile...hope all is going well for you, Apple! :)
