They're Back

I know spring can't be too far away here when they geese stop on their way through. On the way to Mom's yesterday I remarked to John that they should be in the swamp near the corner. I was momentarily disappointed when they weren't there. This year they were on the other side of the road just a little further on from where I usually see them.

I've been in a full blown depression the last few weeks. Winter doesn't seem to want to end. Mom has had another round of doctor appointments. The kids at work really have cabin fever. Add to these the death of two good men, both only in their 50's.

Sunny days, the return of the geese and shrinking snow banks are helping to get me back to myself again.

  1. Isn't it great to see and hear the geese again? I've heard them honking down on the river and seen a few fly overhead.
I hope you had a lovely day with your mom.
We'll see the green grass soon and the spring flowers will be blooming their heads off..if we can just get Old Man Winter to let go his grip!
Hang in there dear Apple. I hope your spirits perk up very soon.
    Sending a (hug)

  3. I think many of us struggle at this time of year. I often envy those who are able to head south for spring break, but nicer weather is coming. The days are getting longer and the sun is shining more often. Now if we could only get those crocuses to bloom.
