Blues

Mom seemed to be in much better spirits on Tuesday. She made herself a cup of coffee even though we were there and could easily have done it for her. County Girl visited last night and she seemed fine when she first got there but after dinner she complained of being very tired and seemed depressed. She has an appointment with the doctor next week so I'll add that to the list of things to talk about. We'll see how she seems when we get there in the morning.

I took my written test today so all my testing is done until next November. I didn't stay to find out what I scored but I must have passed as they let me drive this afternoon ;-) I don't know what is going on with both groups of kids this week but they have been LOUD! Today was just an all around bad day. One of those days where I think about buying a stack of lottery tickets and glance at the help wanted ads. Everyone is laying off here so I guess I just need to be happy I have a job.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day but I'm already looking to the weekend.

  1. Hi Apple, I am with you, this has been a weird week, I too should be thankful for my job but I was taken from my current postion and put into a position that I had when I started with the company 12 years ago. I have been pretty down and just trying to be thankful that I have a job. It's hard. Hang in there Apple, I love reading your blogs.

  2. Hi Gini,
Sorry to hear about your job. I hope you can return to the position you had as the economy improves. My job is pretty recession proof. I actually love my job most of the time but some weeks are simply more stressful than others.

I hope you mother will feel better. I think a little sum would help, I always feel better when it is sunny out.

  4. Hi Pam - I'm hopeful she'll turn around as she always has in the past. I suffer from SAD and I'm sure it affects her too so sunshine would be most welcome!

  5. Hi Apple,
I know it's been a while since I've visited. I'd love to trade you some CA sun for a bit of rain. We so badly need it here. The sprinkles we've gotten just aren't going to be enough.
Hope your foot is healing! :)

  7. I hope your mom is feeling better by now, and you too. I think the bitterly cold weather can get you down. It makes me want to hibernate! But having a job keeps us moving and gets us out and about, and that's probably a good thing.
I hope you and John have a good week, Apple, and stay as warm as possible!
