The scoring system has changed since I last competed and a few other things had changed. I figured I did OK on the written tests and pretrip. I was one of the last drivers on the course and by then it was no longer fun, I was wet, cold and ready to go home. I made some mistakes and was very unhappy with myself.
I was shocked when they announced that I'd finished 2nd in my class! Woo-hoo!!!! I'll be competing at the state level in July.

Congratulations on doing so well in the rodeo! That's not something we do around here - sounds both stressful and fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a great evening.
Congrats! That is really cool!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Apple! Good for you! I'm glad your day had a good ending. Sounds like an endurance test to me :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. I've never heard of this, but it sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteCongrates - We here in Idaho are still waiting to hear if we are even having a State compitition due to all the budget cuts - they better decide soon since we only have 8 more days of school. Good luck at state!!!!
ReplyDeleteSue - Thanks! We still have 5 weeks of school here. The State competion is in July and run by the NY Association for Pupil Transportation. I just checked the site and it doesn't look like Idaho has a chapter. I hope the they come trough and have the roadeo for you guys!
ReplyDeleteThank you all! I'm really looking forward to Albany. I'll be doing a lot of parallel parking practice over the next few weeks.
