Road-eo in the Rain

The regional road-eo was today and boy was it a miserable day to compete. I got soaked through when we walked the course. I'd just start to dry out and it was time to go outside and get soaked again. The judges had it much worse than we did as they had to be outside all day. We had a very long delay due to lightning.

The scoring system has changed since I last competed and a few other things had changed. I figured I did OK on the written tests and pretrip. I was one of the last drivers on the course and by then it was no longer fun, I was wet, cold and ready to go home. I made some mistakes and was very unhappy with myself.

I was shocked when they announced that I'd finished 2nd in my class! Woo-hoo!!!! I'll be competing at the state level in July.

  1. Congratulations on doing so well in the rodeo! That's not something we do around here - sounds both stressful and fun.

    Have a great evening.

  5. Congrates - We here in Idaho are still waiting to hear if we are even having a State compitition due to all the budget cuts - they better decide soon since we only have 8 more days of school. Good luck at state!!!!

  6. Sue - Thanks! We still have 5 weeks of school here. The State competion is in July and run by the NY Association for Pupil Transportation. I just checked the site and it doesn't look like Idaho has a chapter. I hope the they come trough and have the roadeo for you guys!
