I made myself a cute little Favicon of a little apple to use one all three of my blogs. A Favicon is a little picture that sits at the left hand side of my blog address in your browser.
John asked me today why my Favicon had changed to the ebay icon!!!! I stopped what I was doing and brought up my blog and there at the top of the page was my cute little apple.
John and I use different browsers. In Firefox everything looks just fine. I opened an Internet Explorer window and was quite surprised that instead of my little apple the icon for the site Dandelife appears! A site I have only visited once to check it out.
I have no idea what bug is causing this or how to fix it so for now I'll ask you what icon you see at the top of the page right now?????? An Apple, Ebay, Dandelife or something else?

I see... I think it's an apple. It looks like a little red globe with a green hat (a hat like Cat In the Hat's hat). My vision is not the greatest so hope this is helpful.

ReplyDeleteDo you mean right in front of http://appledoesntfall..etc.? On my screen all I can see is the usual letter "e" superimposed on a small white rectangle with a turned down corner.
ReplyDeleteThe little pictures show up for some blogs in Bloglines, but all the Blogger-types have the orange B.

The "e" sounds like the icon for internet explorer. The orange B for blogger - blogs is the default icon.

I have the internet explorer "e" as well. No sign of an apple! Where do you find this stuff Apple? I've never heard of a favicon before. You seem to know all about lots of bits and pieces (like widgets, etc.)

ReplyDeleteMore tidbits of info that might help you figure it out - my husband uses Firefox, and can see the Apple favicon on My Sister's Garden [on La Gringa's Blogocito he can also see her favicon] but he only gets the orange b for Apple Doesnt fall.
On my screen, however, you all have orange B's.
